GRADUATE COLLECTION
@Jmfashiontextiles Jademeinema.com
A Collection fusing elements of archival workwear, considered functionality and sustainable materials. These consist of dead-stock fabrics, reclaimed lorry curtains and discarded rope from local climbing centres. The Moorers Collection is designed for a future scenario where the public has moved onto narrowboats and are very environmentally aware, producing fashion with strictly no virgin materials. Due to the circumstances, they have a strong need for highly functional, weatherproof wear.

Collaboration
Helen Kirkum uses a circular design methodology deconstructing discarded footwear and re-constructing them into bespoke trainers. Each pair has a story behind them and prompts us to think about our behaviour as consumers. A visual story is told by my parents from rediscovered photos and trinkets of a trip to London in the 80’s. A theme of travel and vinyl hunting fused with an exploration of deconstruction.
